Early December last year I had the pleasure of attending a 2 day training workshop which aided my own movement within my Amatsu treatments. The course was called Orthobalance. Orthobalance.co.uk. It was taught by Chris Bartram and James Skidmore, both Amatsu Practitioners who run successful businesses in the UK.

As if the teachings of these two men wasn’t enough we had the added bonus of Dennis Bartram being present and sharing his wisdom. With over 45 years of experience behind him, a mind that is curious and never stops wanting to learn he is a true master of movement. Your mind opens up to hearing the knowledge he has to share around  the evolution of the body and why and how we move the way we do as humans.

Orthobalance in a nut sheel is about learning how to move all over again. It is a system of movement and principles that help integrate the body and mind, with the benefits of expanding our potential as human beings. It develops a greater sensitivity of the body leading to more co-ordination. It helps develop integration of the 2 sides of the brain to help with balance and movement.

We had great fun over the weekend. I felt like I was 5 again, remembering the joy of moving in my body and playing. I felt great after the weekend and inspired by my own transformation in movement.

This year I am intending to train to become a practitioner in Orthobalance so clients can benefit from the simple movements that help us have more confidence, more co-ordination and put a smile back on our faces when we move!  I will keep you posted of how it progresses.
