Early December last year I had the pleasure of attending a 2 day training workshop which aided my own movement within my Amatsu treatments. The course was called Orthobalance. Orthobalance.co.uk. It was taught by Chris Bartram and James Skidmore, both Amatsu Practitioners who run successful businesses in the UK.

As if the teachings of these two men wasn’t enough we had the added bonus of Dennis Bartram being present and sharing his wisdom. With over 45 years of experience behind him, a mind that is curious and never stops wanting to learn he is a true master of movement. Your mind opens up to hearing the knowledge he has to share around  the evolution of the body and why and how we move the way we do as humans.

Barefoot Running

Throughout 2019 I made the journey to the South West of Ireland to Ballincollig, Co Cork to undertake a higher Diploma in Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Therapy with St. Martins College. As part of this qualification one has to under take to write a dissertation. I had experience and the leisurely time of doing 2 such projects for my Science Degree and Masters but its a different kettle of fish when you are working at the same time!

To make life easier I choose a topic that was going to be interesting to study – the good old human foot.
